Published in Computational Statistics & Data Analysis 27 (1998) pp 291-309. ESTIMATING POPULATION PROPORTIONS FROM IMPUTED DATA
نویسنده
چکیده
Imputation estimates based on imputed values obtained from neural network models used in an 'impute first-aggregate next' approach, have been computed from Norwegian population census and administrative register data. The imputation estimates were compared with simple unbiased estimates obtained by the traditional 'aggregate first estimate next' approach and found to be superior for estimating proportions in small subgroups. Predictors for predicting the accuracy of such imputation estimates were proposed. Results are promising for estimating small subgroup or area proportions.

متن کاملDISTMIX: direct imputation of summary statistics for unmeasured SNPs from mixed ethnicity cohorts
MOTIVATION To increase the signal resolution for large-scale meta-analyses of genome-wide association studies, genotypes at unmeasured single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are commonly imputed using large multi-ethnic reference panels. However, the ever increasing size and ethnic diversity of both reference panels and cohorts makes genotype imputation computationally challenging for moderatel...
متن کاملCombining Analysis Results from Multiply Imputed Categorical Data
Multiple imputation (MI) is a methodology for dealing with missing data that has been steadily gaining wide usage in clinical trials. Various methods have been developed and are readily available in SAS PROC MI for multiple imputation of both continuous and categorical variables. MI produces multiple copies of the original dataset, where missing data are filled in with values that differ slight...
متن کاملOrder selection tests with multiply imputed data
Nonparametric tests for the null hypothesis that a function has a prescribed form are developed and applied to data sets with missing observations. Omnibus nonparametric tests such as the order selection tests, do not need to specify a particular alternative parametric form, and have power against a large range of alternatives. More specifically, likelihood-based order selection tests are defin...
متن کاملTwo-way imputation: A Bayesian method for estimating missing scores in tests and questionnaires, and an accurate approximation
Previous research has shown that method two-way with error for multiple imputation in test and questionnaire data produces small bias in statistical analyses. This method is based on a two-way ANOVA model of persons by items but it is improper from a Bayesian point of view. Proper two-way imputations are generated using data augmentation. Simulation results show that the resulting method two-wa...
